Zenfone 7 Series Full Specs

Glass Design, Flip Cameras

The dual flip camera module was one of the features that made the ZenFone 6 unique, and now it’s been upgraded in ZenFone 7 series. The company has made it a triple camera setup now. Moreover, ASUS says that it has used a new motor module to offer smoother, and more accurate movements.

Thanks to the flip camera design, there is a more immersive front with minimal bezels without any notch or punch-hole. The back of the ZenFone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro is made of glass with 3D Curved Gorilla Glass 3. However, the front is protected by Gorilla Glass 6.

These pack a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Dimensions of the devices are 165.08×77.28×9.6mm and their weight is 230g. The handsets come in Pastel White and Aurora Black colors.

90Hz AMOLED Display

The Zenfone 7 series sport a 6.67-inch Full HD+(2400 × 1080 pixels) AMOLED HDR 20:9 aspect ratio display with 700 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 200Hz touch sampling rate.

64MP Sony IMX686 Sensor

The triple flip camera setup houses a primary 64MP Sony IMX686 image sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens, PDAF, a secondary 12MP Sony IMX363 image sensor with 113° field-of-view wide-angle lens, and dual PDAF, and an 8MP sensor with 3X optical zoom lens.

The main and telephoto camera in the ZenFone 7 Pro also come with 4-axis OIS. The ultra-wide-angle camera can also shoot 4cm macro distance photos with autofocus.

For video recording, the ZenFone 7 series supports up to 8K @ 30fps, slow-motion up to 4K @ 120fps. Interestingly, the ZenFone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro are the only smartphones that support 8K video recording on a selfie camera.

Power-packed Performance

The Zenfone 7 gets the Snapdragon 865 SoC and the Pro variant packs the Snapdragon 865 Plus. The Snapdragon 865 Plus is an overclocked version of 865 that has a core @ 3.1GHz and also a faster GPU.

Both the ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro pack LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Zenfone 7 has 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage while the 7 Pro packs 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The storage is expandable up to 2TB.

The Zenfone 7 series is running ASUS’s ZenUI 7 software which is based on Android 10. An update to Android 11 is also planned in the future. ASUS has added several new features in its ZenUI 7 this time.

Battery & Fast Charging

The ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro pack a massive 5,000 mAh battery that supports up to 30W fast charging. With the 30W adapter in-the-box, the ZenFone 7 series phones can be charged up to 60% in less than 35 minutes.

ASUS has also added several battery care-related features such as slow charging toggle, charging scheduler, charging limit, and customizable battery mode.
