I must admit I love the look of this little "toaster" as people have been calling it. It certainly is like a small toaster. Maybe only for one slice, but this little unit does hold 2 IDE hard discs. Not the small 2.5” drives either but full blown 3.5” drives. I was eager to see how they fitted, as I had never seen the inside of a SC101 before.
For me, each IDE drive sitting one on top of each other would create heat, and the only option would be side by side, meaning the drives would be on their side. I know lots of computers have the HDD on its side, but its not my preferred configuration. In this instance and application, heat is probably more of an issue though, and I maybe asking to much, just like a typical consumer.

Well, there you go. I think it’s more like a pig, with the baby piggy style feet it has. Nonetheless, I think it looks great scoring 99% for me, losing only 1% on the fact that the fronts cover, which is the drive access door, locks rather loosely. More on that later.
Next, installing the IDE drive.
