Inside the SC101 I was a little surprised. I had heard it simply described as a heat sink with 2 dives in it. When opened up it looked far from it. The roof and belly are indeed just like a heat sink, but you can’t really tell by just looking. It has a rather PC case looking metal for the frame, at least from the front. The front as I mentioned earlier was a bit loose, but this is probably because the drives are inserted from the front and need a little leeway.

I grabbed my IDE drive and inserted as per the instructions. This I found ok, though you do have to take care, as it is a tight fit. I realised however that this will be good, as you don’t screw the hard disc in; you just slide it in and cable up.
An interesting note the instructions say: "cable select" setting on the HDD. So this was the setting used.

That’s it plugged in and ready to go. It is a little tight as I have said, but once the front cover is on and all is secure it feels very well built.

Next, using the SC101 and conclusion.
