Using the SC101
I downloaded the latest software and firmware from the Netgear website. I am using Utility 1.5.7 with the 4.19.0 firmware. I didn’t touch the software on the discs, as I have heard some stories of data loss and crashes. The drive does not appear in My Computer or Router Control Panel until you install the software.
I installed the above drivers and firmware was updated. Netgear call the utility the Storage Central Manager Utility. Next I have included some screen shots of the software. I had already installed the drive as I was writing this.
The Storage Central Manager Utility will ask you every time to check for upgrades. I did this and it did crash on me. I reinstalled the program and this went away.
I was thinking that it may have crashed as I had the updated software already, but it did seem a bit buggy.
