EC Powers takes a look the Corsair CM2X1024 XMS2 PC5400C4 pack. Right from the out set, this turns out to be a match made in heaven!

To begin with I have to say that this module is by far the best I've ever had. It's cheap, lightning fast and overclocking proof.

For those who always had Corsair memory this comes without a doubt with no suprise.

Packaging:

As you can see this module comes in a plastic packaging like most other memory modules, nothing fancy and good protected.

I have to say I was pretty excited to take it out of the plastic and fire it up, so let's have a look at the module itself shall we?

 speeds

This module is rated at 4-4-4-12 at 675Mhz, this already gives you some headroom for overclocking when running your Frontside bus/memory ratio 1:1 as today's processors run at 200/266Mhz frontside bus.

Apart from that is that this module is using Powerchip IC's.

Here is a picture of the memory module installed.

You can see when inserting the module it boots at 5-5-5-15 @ 667mhz, don't forget to change this to 4-4-4-12 in the bios.

Ok let's have a look at overclocking and performance.
