Revoltec chose a rather unique name for their company, and their cases also have a rather unique look. We’ve seen the Zirconium, and today I have the Rhodium continuing their naming scheme for elements.
The Rhodium has similar looks to the Zirconium with the trademark top triangular I/O plate and the large front panel. Let see how it performs. Read More >> Write Comment (2 comments) |

The hard drive is one of the most popular upgrades for the PC. Like RAM, you can never have enough hard drive storage space. It always seem to run out before you realize it. Maybe it's all that porn and bootleg anime you have been downloading. So, should you just run out and buy the hard drive with the largest capacity that you can afford? Or is there more to it than just storage space?
This guide is designed to give you the low-down on hard drives and what makes one better than the other. I will go through the parameters and metrics experts use to decide on the best hard drive for the job. After reading this guide, you will be better armed to select the best hard drive for your needs. Although PNY might not be the general port of call for enthusiasts when it comes to upgrading their graphics card, they produce a wide range of GPUs designed for users of not only the latest and greatest, but the mid range cards too. Today I have such a card, the 8800GTS 320mb which other manufacturers have done very well with. Let's see if PNY can do the same.

Good wireless range and typing comfort makes the Mediaboard a great choice for those who type on the PS3. the only real drawback is the price, which is on the high side. Logitech has a keyboard designed for the PS3 called the Logitech Cordless Mediaboard. Looking and feeling just like one of Logitech's computer keyboards, the Logitech Cordless Mediaboard has great typing feel and full sized keys.

What separates the PC gamer from a console junkie? The keyboard, of course! But while many XBox kiddies have found their demise at the hands of the mouse and WASD combo, the keyboard was never intended as a gaming device, it just naturally fit the task.
Looking to improve upon the mechanics, Cyber Snipa releases their PC Gamepad 2, a new take on an old standard. Can it improve upon the keyboard experience, or are some things truly better left alone? More Write Comment (0 comments) |

If you own a fairly recent Windows Mobile 5 device (let’s say less than a year old or there abouts), then the chance that you’ll be able to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 is quite high. Today we’re taking a closer look at how to upgrade the HTC Hermes, this also known as the TyTN.
HTC isn’t the only device manufacturer to offer upgrades for its Windows Mobile 5 devices, and if you’re a Dopod owner you’ll find that HTC has actually purchased Dopod and offers the same upgrades for the Dopod devices. More Write Comment (0 comments) |

Linux 2.6.23-rc2 Kernel Performance |

While the Linux 2.6.23 kernel is only weeks into development, it's already generated quite a bit of attention. From the merging of the Completely Fair Scheduler (CFS) to the -rc2 kernel being "the new -rc1", the Linux 2.6.23 kernel is certainly in store for being an ornate release.
Adding to this attention has been a stable user-space driver API and virtualization improvements (KVM, Xen, and LGuest). With all of this activity surrounding the Linux 2.6.23 kernel we've decided to conduct a handful of benchmarks comparing the Linux 2.6.20, 2.6.21, 2.6.22, and 2.6.23 kernel releases so far. Abit AirPace 54Mbps Wi-Fi PCI-E Card Review |

Although wired networks are still faster and more secure, the wireless standard is now mainstream. What was once only found in Starbucks is now everywhere. Entire cities are even taking initiatives to offer wireless networking. London, for example, is providing over 20 miles of Wi-Fi coverage. So it comes as no surprise that residential areas are becoming more and more populated with these networks. After all, the speeds
are good enough for gaming and sufficient for the majority of downloads. The most common adapter type is USB. It's easy to set up, it's portable, and it takes up another valuable port. For desktop systems it's a bit of a waste. Today we'll be looking at Abit's AirPace, a PCI-E based card. More Write Comment (0 comments) |

Gigabyte’s V-Power VGA cooler is a great looking product with good cooling and is relatively easy to install. The materials, fit and finish are very good and the cooler is compact enough to be used in the vast majority of SLI/CrossFire systems. It’s also very quiet, approaching complete silence when at its lowest fan speed setting.

Nexus Frizzbee Hard Drive Cooler Review |

Often times we do things that aren't really necessary. Computers are no exception. Do cold cathodes and plastic windows give you more headshots? Will that 1600 watt power supply ever use more than even half its rated wattage? Does buying a 5 year warranty for that laptop matter when you'll replace it in 2-3 years? The answer to all these questions, most likely, is no.
Likewise, cooling is somewhat controversial. Laptop coolers, system coolers, enormous heatsinks - unless you're doing some extreme overclocking or live in extreme conditions, these are more for fun and piece of mind than anything else. And as we all know, peace of mind is a valuable commodity. Today we'll be taking a look at Nexus' Frizzbee, a single fan HDD cooler that probably won't help you sleep any better, but just might keep your drive cooler. More Write Comment (0 comments) |

It's just about time for school, and everyone is looking to upgrade their current computer or to build an inexpensive computer that will get the requested tasks done. Maybe you just need another computer for the kids or grandparents, but you don't want to break the bank getting one.
At today's prices, you can build yourself a decent machine without spending more than five hundred dollars. All you'll need is a motherboard, processor, memory, hard drive, CD drive, power supply, and a case. You don't necessarily need a video card if you have onboard graphics on the motherboard. The ECS G33T-M2 motherboard is what we'll be looking at today and it has onboard video, which will save you at least one hundred dollars since you don't have to purchase a graphics card. Can this motherboard give you the performance you need while keeping your wallet full? Remember, this is not going to be used in your main rig or gaming computer, but rather in a computer that you can build with components lying around the house. Join us as we examine this ECS G33T-M2 motherboard. More Write Comment (0 comments) |

The new iMacs are very thin. The entire stand and unit is only about 8" deep for the 24" display. The unit that houses the display and components itself is only about two to three inches thick. The display is thinner on the edges of the unit and thicker in the center where it comes together with the stand. Outside of the changed display, the stand is similar to the previous iMac. Building an HTPC could help you get rid of all that clutter and allow you to store all those movies in your attic, giving you room to showcase all your bowling trophies again. Depending on the size of the hard drive you choose, it’s possible to store hundreds of your favorite movies in one location and access them with the click of a button. Some of you might be saying, but what about music? Yup, that too and considering the size of an MP3 in relation to a movie, storage can be in the thousands! So now you can have movies, games and music, as well as the Internet at your fingertips without having to get off the couch to look for a CD case or to change the input on your receiver.
